Prawn Fried Rice! This recipe is a great Asian dish, one that is ofcourse very nutritious as its a common factor with most Asian dishes but very easy to prepare.

Prawn Fried Rice

It really adds that bit of range when you drop this dish on the family table and everyone is like “Tinuke you mean you cooked this?“. Its very easy and great to add to pletora of dishes.

Ingredients

  • Long grain brown rice
  • Frozen peas
  • Cooking Oil
  • Onions (chopped)
  • Garlic Cloves
  • Ginger
  • Prawns
  • Eggs (beaten)
  • Sesame seeds
  • Soy sauce
  • Rice
  • Spring Onions

How To Prepare Prawn Fried Rice

Boil the rice, take into a seperate pot the peas and blanch it for a minute, drain it and set aside with the rice. Now take the oil and heat in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and fry the onions. Add the garlic and ginger and fry for a minute, add the vegetables (peas) and fry for 5 minutes. At this point, add the prawns and fry a minute, stir the rice into the pan and mix thoroughly, get the eggs and add in into a pan, scrambble it, pour the mixture with sesame seeds, soy, vinegar and finish up with spring onions.
